Hello All,

My Line Manager has asked me to removed the "Allstaff" email from the suggest contacts list. Basically when staff type allstaff in the TO box and press check it will say there is no such thing, However if they type the whole email in it will work.

We still have one problem though because most staff have used the all staff email it comes up in the suggest contacts list and i was wondering if there is a way to remove this.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Jordan

To the best of my knowledge and i might be wrong here (Please feel free to correct me!)

The "Quick List of address'" users see are specific to that profile, so each user has their own "list" so to speak. I know you can just highlight the email address and hit delete and it will remove it from the list but this would have to be done by the user, im not sure it can be done wholesale. My personal preference would be to "Reset" the profile on the machine but i dont know what your system or circumstances are there!

Is the end result to stop anyone being able to use the AllStaff one? If so why not just set restriction in Exchange to do this so if they email it, it bounces back going not allowed to do this. You then set a list of who can actuality email successfully to the list.

I'd recommend changing the name of the allstaff list, then hiding it from the address list. That way anyone with the old name simply won't work anymore. When we upgraded from 2003 to 2010, I split allstaff into teaching staff and support staff, hoping to cut down on the amount of emails directed at people who weren't appropriate. This may be a 'reason' for you to change the name too.
