Hi everyone,

Wondered if anyone else was having problems downloading iOS applications on YHGFL? So far this morning I can browse the store, however apps fail to download. If this is a grid wide issue any ETA on a fix?

Hi,

We beleived that the issue with IOS7 had been resolved, as this is an issue that has been affecting schools on and off for a few months. If you are still experiencing issues please log a call on our helpdesk, as it could be a different issue to that which we looked at. You can do this on either [email protected] or telephone on 0300 303 89 60.

Concerning the speed and DNS we are still investigating. This does appear to be a grid wide issue.

Kind regards

Marc

Hi Marc

That's interesting, as I wouldn't have said the issue was iOS related. We have been struggling to update the Apps through the iTunes AppStore. As tmoon-mint says, you can see the Apps, but they fail to download.

We've had this problem numerous times with YHGfL. Last time it happened it was off for over a week, if memory serves. Yeah, we are the same though, can browse appstore but can't download. not good when I have 90 ipads here which need apps putting on and I can't.. not good.

I'ved email this morning and yesterday afternoon. The iPads I'm trying to browse the appstore on are a mixture of IOS7 and IOS8 and neither work.

Hi All,

I have logged a seperate thread for the issues with internet connectivity. Our support team is working hard to resolve all of the calls we have logged to us, but I do know the engineer who is looking into the IOS issue is currently working on the internet connectivity as his top priority as it is affecting most schools at the moment.

Kind regards

Hi externo6,

I have just been told this morning by our senior engineers that this issue has reoccurred. They are looking into it at the moment.

Just to let everyone know... I'm on LGFL and I can't download app updates from the app store. I'm on lightspeed filtering.

To get round it I am having to connect to itunes on the mac and update that way... just a temporary solution if you need it...
