Window 8 - How do I set a home/start page for the Metro version of Internet Explorer

We have a Web interface for our MIS application to take registers and the tablets do not want to take any notice of the start page settings when in the Metro version of IE.

We have not upgraded the internet explorer policy for the new version of Internet Explorer yet so if possible this would need to be done by Registry, the registry method works for the Desktop version of Internet Explorer on the tablets but not the Metro IE version.

I'm trying to engineer a shortcut on the Metro interface that opens the link directly to the needed web page.

I can put a shortcut that opens IE at the required page but it opens the Web Page in the desktop version.

i.e. Putting the target of

"c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" The URL

in the shortcut in the metro interface just opens the desktop version.

It's like I want to customize the app to point to the page, or open the page with the metro version of IE.

I can pin the page to the Metro screen but every user will need to do this unless I engineer a work around.
