Firstly thanks Nick for a wonderful product.

I have HAP+ installed in a couple of schools, running on IIS7 version 10 and although everything works well, I'm trying to restrict user groups from writing to specific folders. I'd like to students not to write to a folder. I've simply added 'None' on 'Enable Write to' in the setup page however whenever the user logons, the option to right click edit and upload files is still there. This option worked in v7 and it was how I had it setup.

Thanks in advance.

HAP follows NTFS permissions. Deny that user / group write permissions in Security on the folder and you should be fine. We have an area here that pupils cannot read to and on HAP the Upload button doesn't appear.

How would that affect these users within the school network? I want the same security group to allow write in school (on the network) but not write on HAP (away from school).

Yup that's what I thought but think the deny permission may take precedence over the write permission in the other security group.

Will give it a go - thank you.

I've just tried version 10.4 and the issue is still there. When a user group has been selected to write "none" to a folder in the hapconfig file, the users are still able to delete and upload. Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks.
