Shadow_Walker Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Finally got round to starting the installation of xibo today. I started by using this guide for the installation on my windows pc. Install Guide Xibo Server - Xibo However when i get to the part where i have to type http://localhost/xibo into internet explorer i get a http 500 error. Anyone know why? Thanks
fairm010 Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Is this on the Xibo server or client? Either way, you will need to either disable your proxy settings on the machine or define it in the bypass.
Shadow_Walker Posted September 16, 2014 Author Posted September 16, 2014 xibo client install. Does anyone have any user guides or how they installed this as it is getting on my nerves now as it was supposed to be a quick job.
fairm010 Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Have you added the site to the list of sites to bypass the proxy? I have 6 Xibo TV's running here so I can try to help 1
JJonas Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 shouldn't localhost be replaced by the hostname or IP address of the machine you installed the server on?
Shadow_Walker Posted September 16, 2014 Author Posted September 16, 2014 shouldn't localhost be replaced by the hostname or IP address of the machine you installed the server on? Not sure when i type localhost into the address bar it brings up the xampp for windows.
Shadow_Walker Posted September 16, 2014 Author Posted September 16, 2014 (edited) Have you added the site to the list of sites to bypass the proxy? I have 6 Xibo TV's running here so I can try to help yes. Thing is i don't know if it has installed right or not as there is no clear indication or instruction on this, unless i cant find it. Also thanks for the help. I just want to try something instead of onelan. Edited September 16, 2014 by Shadow_Walker
AlexB Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Possible the webserver you installed got put on port 8080, so the address would be http://localhost:8080/xibo Worth a shot...
