The_IT_Guy Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Hi I am getting annoyed with the CC4 AUP feature not working. Keeps continuously popping up for users even though they agree to it and it is set to only appear once. Does anyone know a a piece of software that can publish AUP's to users dependant on AD group, and log the user and date and time they last agreed it? Thanks
plexer Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 AUP informant is probably whaty you want although I don't think it's been updated for a while. Ben
plexer Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Allthough probably best to forget that as it's no longer developed nor is the d/l page current. Ben
strawberry Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 I call a HTA using a bat, HTA creates a copy of the AUP on the users H drive, it then checks it and doesn't run again. To re run for everyone just delete the file from user areas IF EXIST "h:\accept.htm" GOTO DONOWT start \\domain\netlogon\aup\aup2.hta :DONOWT HTA is AUP ID="objTestHTA" APPLICATIONNAME="J" SCROLL="yes" SINGLEINSTANCE="yes" WINDOWSTATE="Maximize" MAXIMIZEBUTTON="no" MINIMIZEBUTTON="no" BORDER="none" > Sub RunScript Set objFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") objFSO.CreateTextFile("H:\accept.htm") Set objFile = objFSO.OpenTextFile("h:\accept.htm", 2) objFile.WriteLine DataArea.InnerHTML objFile.Close Window.close End Sub ICT Code of Conduct AUP HERE 1

The script that launched the .hta checked the file for the username as a string and didn't run if it was present. To reset you just deleted/renamed the text file.
benjaminstevens93 Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 We use Policy Central here which has the feature built into it.
northeast_technician Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Same for us Policy Central is a cracking product - highly recommend it full LA use it in all schools. Can easily chage AUP to suit each school either in text or html
