As for Boardworks message "Some controls on this presentation can't be activated. They might not be registered on this computer" please download flash.reg from Boardworks website:

https://www.doddlelearn.co.uk/boardworks/ (issues within the presentation)

or directly from:

and merge in computer registry.

Presentations will work after that - tested on Win10 LTSC & Office 2019 64 bit.

Also on the warning pop up please select the button "I recognize this content. Allow it to play."

Isn't this a security risk though?

Probably. The real answer is most likely "Sign up and use their new non-Flash content as Boardworks is old and no longer developed" but having tried that with teachers the response is usually a toys-out-of-the-pram "I NEED THE OLD ONE TO WORK NOW OR ELSE" standoff.

If only people had been warned about proprietary formats. At least everything's html now. Cue "I can't open this smart notebook file"

We have the same challenge with our Scientists. Relying on PowerPoint with embedded flash is holding back going fully Chromebook. Is the newer Boardworks doddle content any good? Are there any other alternatives anyone can recommend?
