Chrome and the IE Tab extension

I'm having a play with the idea of removing all shortcuts to IE and using the IE Tab extension for chrome instead when IE is required.

 

I have it working how i'd like, chrome as default browser, extension for IE tab installed via GP, and the IE shortcut on the desktop replaced with the following for example:

chrome-extension://hehijbfgiekmjfkfjpbkbammjbdenadd/nhc.htm#url=http://www.google.co.uk/

Which opens chrome straight into IE tab.

 

But there's one thing that's bugging me, and that's where as soon as i first startup chrome after login, the IE tab extension is opening a new tab with its documentation on....i need to get rid of that! Any suggestions as to how to stop that from happening?
