Boarding Schools - weekend attendance

Any boarding school techs/NM's

 

Q - do you use an MIS to record pupils attendance/being in school at the weekend?

 

If so how do you do it?

Back in the day, when I worked for one, the only way to do this in SIMS was to have additional sessions set up for weekends. Don't ask how I did that however!!

Not done it myself (non-boarding here) but try a 7 day timetable mapped to a 7 day working week where Sat/Sun contain only a reg period. Might be a better way though, it's a timetabling guess instead of experience!

You have to ensure the Saturday/Sunday days are not mapped as statutory days otherwise your statistics will be out.

That is why I did it as lessons, not sessions. It was by no means perfect!

When I worked in one we did it in Facility no issues, don't ask me how we did it as its a lot of years ago but was certainly done without issue for them.
