Can someone please come up with a Watercooling setup please?

Hi all,

Got these PC specs:

Intel Core i7 4770K @4.1GHz

16GB Dual Channel DDR3 Kingston HyperX Fury + @1866MHz

Gigabyte Z87X-D3H-CF

AMD R9 290X

Corsair 300R /w Window

I am looking to watercool the CPU and the R9 290X as they get HOT

Ideally I want a loop for them all.

Can anybody come up with a good liquid cooling setup please. I have a closed loop on the CPU but I feel that it is not fully up to scratch.

Thanks

Harry

Are you using the stock heatsink at the moment?

Ideally want to cool the whole lot in one loop for space reasons.

You can mount a dual 180mm heatsink on the roof and a 180mm on the rear...

Oh right, did not realise. Also, I might be getting another R9 290X soon, if I could fit it in the case, so I want room to expand

Right, sorry about v late reply. 4 days of partying is painful.

I'd do a custom loop. This would be:-

360 or 480 rad with pref a 25fpi for better cooling (facilitating in the 360 3x120mm fans (your choice) or in the 480 rad 4x140mm fans (your choice) OR both (only used for full system)

D5 vario photon pump res combo (looks the s... and works brilliantly, also note, d5 vario is one of the best pumps on the market) OR Xspc dual vario d5 res pump combo

XSPC raystorm CPU waterblock (swiftech also do one as good, but xspc is my pref)

Tubing color is up to you, but the size is always best with 1/2 inch. Better flow, better temps. You can change this for a single CPU loop to 1/4 inch, but that's your choice. Also note, if this WC is including a full system loop, mb and gfx or 2... no less than 1/2 inch!!!!

G1/4 (for 1/2 inch) are used almost on every system. Don't think you can get that wrong, unless your building something out of the ordinary. What you can get wrong, is the color! Choose wisley.

Now, the loop.

V1 for cpu only

Res/pump > rad > cpu > res/pump

V2 for cpu and GFX

Res/pump > rad > cpu > GFX > res/pump

V3 cpu, mobo, gfx using 1 rad. Please note, you should NEVER try running a full system loop off 1 rad. You're asking for trouble and disappointment.

Res/pump > rad > cpu > mobo > gfx > res/pump IN THAT ORDER. Do not mix and match.

V4 cpu, mobo, gfx using 2 rads

Rad 1 - res/pump > rad > cpu > mobo > res/pump

Rad 2 - res/pump > rad > gfx > res/pump

V5 cpu, mobo, gfx (for future if 2), using 2 rads and dual res/pump

Rad + dual res > Same as above. You would only use this if you was going to have x2 or more gfx. Otherwise, the others will suffice.

Anything else, gimme a shout.
