Folks..

 

Could you try to view these YouTube vids, and let me know if you are successful or not?

The PCs in our schools can't, but our Infrastructure guys have insisted they're not blocking anything.

 

 

It fails on IE 8, 9, 10 with assorted different versions of Flash on both XP and Win7.

 

If I take my laptop home, it works.

 

 

And then a random video from their list.

It should be the first viewing gets an advert, and then the proper video plays.

A solid YES from the Peak District. I've tried the top link, plus 3 more from their site.. All well here.

Derby, East Midlands here...

 

Neither will load in IE 11.

 

Just the swirly circular icon then eventually comes up with - An error has occurred.

I've just tried it again from IE11 on Win 8.1 Pro and it worked fine from in the High Peak.

This is on a BT Infinity connection

 

 

I've also ran the same video without issue on one my Dev machines running IE10 on Windows 7 Pro (which for complicated reasons is in Oldham on a Virgin media connection)

Thanks for the replies so far, folks.

 

It's heartening to see at least 1 person COULDN'T view them.

I'm sort of perversely hoping there's a few more "no's", so we can see if we share some commonality with how we talk to the WWW.

 

The investigation here is continuing!

Thanks to all who replied here/PM.

I contacted STV, and a day or so later they got back to me to say it's a known issue with the anti-piracy measures implemented.

They're in (ongoing?) discussions with Google.

 

So at least I know it's not my problem

Works fine for me on Virgin Media in Hertfordshire. Using Opera
