T_Lister Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I have recently been changing our structure, part of which was demoting the DC that DirSync was installed on (despite that they say you shouldn't put it on a DC, there was no other option at the time). Since then it refuses to connect and I get the following error when I try to run the DirSync tool again: "cannot start msonlinesyncscheduler on computer" Any thoughts on what could be causing this please? Thanks in advance.
Davit2005 Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 (edited) msonlinesyncscheduler is the name of the service Windows Azure Active Directory Sync. I'd check the account that is used to Log On as this service or event logs for any errors during starting the service. Mine was automatically set to use an account that was created as setting up DirSync. Edited August 20, 2014 by Davit2005
