altonPM Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Has anyone tried NTFSFix on newer versions of Windows Server? (2012, 2012 R2) It used to be one of my go-to tools but I haven't used it in awhile.
3s-gtech Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 How did you get it working? It needs .Net 1.1, which won't install on 2012 or 2012 R2.
jamesfed Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Just install Dot net framework 3.5 (via server manager) and bobs your uncle (if you have an uncle called bob at least) Personally I would rather run it from a client PC instead though - means you don't have to keep 3.5 updated on your server.
3s-gtech Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Ah - the installer doesn't run, but grabbing the files from within does and it loads. Cheers, it's a handy utility that.
