O365 changing user login domain

I know I can do this by the portal but how do I change user domain so they can login on with their e-mail address? The current internal domain does not match the vanity domain but in Exchange their primary SMTP is the same as the vanity domain.

Are you running from a DirSync environment??

Yep running directory sync

In that case the blog i posted will tell you exactly what you need to do.

That blog posts helps if you are doing this pre deployment of dirsync but if you have already synced it's not as straightforward.

 

Log a call with support I had this issue but it was too long ago now for me to be able to recollect all of the solution or @EduTech might pop in.
