Walthamstow Academy is seeking an experienced second-line Senior ICT Technician with particular skills.

 

You will be a positive, enthusiastic and highly motivated ICT Technician. You will have the opportunity to work as part of a dynamic and enthusiastic team who are dedicated to maintaining an outstanding quality of service to the learning and teaching community within the Academy. You will relate to the Academy’s ethos of ‘the best in everyone’ and enjoy working with a rich, diverse group of young people in a dynamic and vibrant learning environment.

 

As the Senior ICT Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the school’s networked computer equipment and managing the ICT Helpdesk, under the direction of the Technical Services Coordinator. You will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Office suite. You will be enthusiastic about ICT & technology in general and be willing to learn about new technologies. You will have excellent organisational skills and self-discipline, and will be able to communicate effectively with staff and students alike.

 

Specific skills required include a strong working knowledge of VMware, its security, organisation and backup, and a strong working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies. (For full details of the post, and access to the application form, click here).
