Job description

 

This full-time post is available on a one year fixed term basis. The post is in the Audio Visual Development & Maintenance team in the Learning Spaces division within Student Services. The University is continuing to invest in the development of our teaching and meeting spaces, and specifically in the audio visual (AV) technologies in use in order to support technology enhanced learning and pedagogic innovation. This post is part of a small team responsible for developing and coordinating the maintenance of the audio visual technology in learning spaces, alongside our frontline teams who support users on a day to day basis.

 

 

 

Alongside the AV Development and Maintenance team leader the role holder will manage specific elements of large AV projects such as the delivery of new build installations, the planning and design of refurbishment and upgrade projects and research, planning and stakeholder engagement related to the Remote Support Project which will be completed in August 2015.

 

 

 

The successful applicant will have recent significant experience of working within an IT environment in AV role and will have project management experience of overseeing technical AV installations. They will be well organised, able to work on their own initiative and communicate effectively with external suppliers and contractors, internal colleagues and customers/stakeholders on projects, including various levels of senior management. Effective team working skills will be required both within the Learning Spaces team and within the wider Academic Services division.
