Meraki how to secure Ipads but allow installs of apps

Trying to get this working properly

 

I have the ipads now enrolled and can use it top push apps out to the ipads

 

However I want to be able to set up a profile and disable app store and other things like app removal and app install ( by the kids) and be able to push out apps silently that I want to do.

 

In the testing I have done I cant see away of doing this.

Anyone got any tips?

In order to do this you will need to Supervise the iPads using configurator, can't be done using just Meraki.

 

You can set restrictions in configurator to;

 

Disable Deleting of apps

Disable Installation of apps/Remove the App Store.

However if you do this you can only install/update apps from configurator on the Supervised iPad, with no app store on the iPad there is no way a user can sign into the store to accept or update the app on the iPad.

You can do time base tags. You can set a "LOCK" profile during the days and then set "UNLOCK" profile after hours for updates to run and app install.
