Zak_Khan Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Hey guys, We currently have around 60 iPads. I was wondering what solutions you guys use for wireless printing from the iPads and how you save work etc without emailing them / using google drive etc Thank you
localzuk Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 For printing, you should look at Collobos - Presto
tmoon-mint Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 For Printing, we just use HP Printers with Bonjour. As for saving on the network I would look at Foldr.
Duckstein Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 We have used Foldr before, as a trial and it is an excellent piece of software. Getting the students to log in and out again all the time may prove to be full of issues though I guess. I am trying to convince our SLT to purchase the full version, but no luck yet!
seawolf Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Printopia Pro configured with wide area Bonjour. Printopia also works well on smaller networks. XPrintServer is another option for printing. For saving work to a file server, there is WebDAV, or the better solutions FOLDR, or Acronis Access.
kaphc Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 We either print to an Airprint enabled printer (most of the newers ones are) whereby the iPad just "picks up" the printer over the wireless network. Or we download the manufacturers app - Sharp and Ricoh both do a free app which you can configure to print to over the wireless network as well.
