cobra427col Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Stabbing in the dark here. Does anyone know where I can get hold of a couple of app store vouchers - I've googled, even rung microsoft (they didnt know either.) I just want to be able to walk into a shop - buy the voucher and then give them to the staff - If I have to go through our normal ordering process I could be waiting forever.. fanks in advance
LincolnE Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 You can get them on amazon, (actually sold by amazon, not some ripoff scam reseller) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-%C2%A35-Gift-Card-Windows/dp/B00HS3P6W4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1404810168&sr=8-2&keywords=Windows+Store+Gift+Card Although this is for a downloadable code, you should be able to print it off and just hand them to staff.
sted Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 arnt xbox live ones the same these days as its now real cash not points?
JJonas Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Xbox live is using real money not points but Microsoft will now sell you a code worth what ever cash value you want to add to your account. This has lead to some interesting deals. Here for example is £50 live store credit being sold for £43.90! How if there was only some way to transfer the £50 live store credit back into my bank account...
cobra427col Posted July 8, 2014 Author Posted July 8, 2014 thanks guys What I was wanting - was to be able to wander into a store (pcworld etc) and get a voucher and not have to wait for one to arrive via snail ordering process and snail mail - so that the staff who are trialing the tablets can redeem the code for apps they see as being useful Plus i dont want to let them loose with a £50 card - it would be like giving my bank card to the dragon and tell her to go buy a loaf of bread... £15 is more than enough to start with.
Jamoire Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 (edited) As other have said you should be able to just buy the Xbox cards and the credit for those is valid on Xbox, Windows 8 and Windows Phone app stores. Argos and Tesco at least do them in store Edited July 8, 2014 by Jamoire
