Hey Guys

Weird problem although it could be just the bulb is going I guess but thought I'd quickly ask here. Over the last few days a main projector in the hall is going like a blue colour so that anything you display had a blue tint to it. I have checked the obvious Video settings, made sure the colour is set properly etc... but it still stays blue.

Got any ideas what it could be, I'm really hoping it's not something like the bulb is going because this silly projector was put up in a security shell bigger than area 51's fence and doesn't look that much fun getting it down and putting it back up again!

Thnakyou :)

Could be the cable from the computer to the projector. How high is the projector off the ground? Is it feasible to plug a laptop directly into it?

It's pretty high like you need a ladder to get to it! I hate going up there I'm scared of heights as it is I suppose I could check though, it also has a weird problem where Macs have never worked with it they just won't display to it, they'll display on every other projector around the school just not this stupid thing! Windows machines don't normally have an issue!

Another vote for checking and/or changing the lead. This has happened to me with a cable that was not properly connected. You may need to replace the cable completely.

are there any other inputs you could test via?

one of our old projectors would have a red tint on the vga interface but was fine via component/composite
