Just been handed a sheet from a "guru" going over the new curriculum with staff. - Dont know if you've seen it - it's called Switchedon computing..

 

Module 3.4 We are network engineers - Unit study: Exploring computer networks

The school network is a resource for running the school and facilitates learning, it is not for learning how to run a network.

 

There's no way that would work. However, there are solutions to give them access to 'a' network and command prompt within a safe environment. Not that there's any suggestion of that from your post.

I'm going with

 

"The documument says 'suggested' - and I'm tellin ya Nooooup!(to the command prompt)"

 

I'll jerry -rig a simple sandbox solution if needs be

Panic (slightly) over

 

Just had a word with the guru... turns out it's a program of study from a company called rising stars. and everything is done under emulation...

 

but that wasnt mentioned when it was thrust into my hand and told to look at it.
