tmcd35 Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Hi, I need to get atleast three quotes for electronic swipe card door locks. I've got two companies, one local and one in Oxford, but am struggling to find more. Anyone got any recommendations for a company who can supply and fit these? Thanks
FN-GM Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 If your just after a quote Capita do it. They do it for the people who own our building. 1
TechMonkey Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Spoken to Net-Ctrl? They have a sister company that does access control. They may be able to help. 2
cpjitservices Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Maybe even try paxton direct. Access Control UK - Compact range - Paxton electric locks
nikaso Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 We used Gough & Kelly who installed a Paxton Net 2 Pro system for us, very good on the whole. 1
Demarcation Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Advice is don't go for swipe cards, go for proximity sensors, tend to be more reliable and easier for staff to use
Net-Ctrl Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Hi, as @TechMonkey mentioned we do have a security division in the company. I don't know a huge amount about their portfolio but in terms of locks, i'm 90% sure they deal with a solution called Aperio by Assa-Abbloy: Aperio which is a wireless lock solution. If this is the sort of solution you were after let me know, and I will ask someone much more knowledgeable than I on the access control side of the business to get in touch. 1
plexer Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 When we went for an access control system we had A.C.Leigh price up for SALTO and Surelock Security East Derham priced up for a Paxton solution, it was specced so it secured the same number of doors to an acceptable level. Ben 1
MatthewL Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Advice is don't go for swipe cards, go for proximity sensors, tend to be more reliable and easier for staff to use Will back Demarcation up on this, you may may a little more but for the hassle proximity is the way forward, so much simpler.

Ben That's perfect Ben. A.C.Leigh are one of two I've already found (I think you recommended them last time I looked into this). Will look into Surelock Security East. Will back Demarcation up on this, you may may a little more but for the hassle proximity is the way forward, so much simpler. Sorry if the description in the OP is misleading. I am actually locking at MiFare locks but tried to give a more generic description. My bad.
