ChrisH Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 I got this morning it's a new one on me. http://www.cphsolutions.co.uk/googleerror.gif Anyone seen this before? Not necessarily on my network as we all go through a county proxy
free4440273 Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 "Not necessarily on my network as we all go through a county proxy" what do you mean by 'not nec. on my network'. yep - i have seen it before - when i make use of anonymity programs, it sometimes crops up, when you go to the google homepage.
disinfo Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Yeah i've had that as well, I think its just the sheer volume of traffic coming from our broadband consortiums proxy. Had a similar message on ask jeeves as well
ChrisH Posted December 14, 2005 Author Posted December 14, 2005 I mean that the error could be just google having a brief burp or that it could come from any school in the county as google would on see our county proxies address.
free4440273 Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 noticeable that it occurs most frequently through proxies and anonymity programs as i mentioned above...

tarquel Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 ....or you could all have spyware on your machines lol Nath
free4440273 Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 not me - i'm an honest kind of chap, especially on this forum...
ajbritton Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 According to PCPro IIRC, this can be caused if someone is using a looping script to access the google web APIs and is therefore causing too much traffic. As mentioned, all the traffic will appear to come from the proxy IP address and will presumably be grouped together as being from the same source.
