I got this morning it's a new one on me.

Anyone seen this before? Not necessarily on my network as we all go through a county proxy :wink:

what do you mean by 'not nec. on my network'.

yep - i have seen it before - when i make use of anonymity programs, it sometimes crops up, when you go to the google homepage.

Yeah i've had that as well, I think its just the sheer volume of traffic coming from our broadband consortiums proxy.

 

Had a similar message on ask jeeves as well

I mean that the error could be just google having a brief burp or that it could come from any school in the county as google would on see our county proxies address.

Well thats that cleared up pretty much :)

According to PCPro IIRC, this can be caused if someone is using a looping script to access the google web APIs and is therefore causing too much traffic. As mentioned, all the traffic will appear to come from the proxy IP address and will presumably be grouped together as being from the same source.
