ROB Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 can anyone shed any light on this problem? our PDCe is running server 2008, (physical server) we have two 2012 servers running hyperV, on each of these we have a DC on a VM running server 2012r2: so 3 DCs 1 on 2008 2 on 2012r2 Our schema and function level are currently as high as 2008 will allow (we recently demoted a 2003 dc and then raised the level) We have not noticed any problems after we raised the level and removed the 2003 server until about four weeks later. the problem we have is that the active directory user profile path (AD users and computers username properties) changes to another users path thus preventing the user from logging on. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Michael Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Are the servers replicating OK? Other than this, possibly some form of malware changing entries. They certainly don't change themselves!
ROB Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 I have done some investigation and have posted my findings on this forum: active directory user profile path problem - Spiceworks Thanks for the help
Oaktech Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Thanks for that, i've stashed that spiceworks page away as I'm going to have to do something very similar in the not too distant future!
