mikkydoos Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Hi all, Can anyone help ?? Got a server 2012 DC.... I need to change the proxy settings on the Default Domain Policy. Internet Explorer Maintenance Settings were inherited from a jump from 2003 to 2012. Now I know we do IE with GPP these days but I can't find where to get rid of the proxy settings (see attached pic) Any idea's ?? Cheers all.
Achandler Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Open Group Policy Management, open the correct policy then in user policy -> windows settings -> internet explorer maintenance then connections and porxy settings
mikkydoos Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 No. Not in Server 2012. IE Maintenance doesn't exist anymore
snagrat Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 They won't apply if using IE10 or above I believe so they can just be left there. Failing that run RSAT on a Win7 machine and edit using Group policy on the client. 1
mikkydoos Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 Yep. It'll have to be that. Haven't got a machine running less than IE 10 which is what I need. Time to build a VM Cheers all.
Achandler Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Well yeah they won't apply but nooen likes redundant settings, i always clean mine up. You just need a Windows 7 with RSAT as above or a 2008 server to get rid of the settings. 1
