Hi,

I'm having issues with sound on one of our ActivBoard 300s. The board is connected and the pen works fine, but there is no sound.

The on/off switch for the built in amplifier is neither red nor green. Does this indicate a broken part or simply the power cable has fallen out of the amp (I can't see any missing cables).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan

Anything, there's no system sounds or anything. Tried an other laptop and it shows the same problems, it doesn't show up in the sound manager. So I'm sure it's the amp/board rather than the computer.

Just wondering if it's a common thing that's easily fixed or if a part has gone kaput.

Does sound like a broken or disconnected amp. You might have to get it off the wall and have a look

Yeah, I've had a quick look and feel and can't see any loose cables. I'll whip it off the wall and get a better look.

Thanks,

Hi bladedanny,

The fact that the light on the side of the board is not on at all is simply an indicator that there is no power getting to the board at all.

This could either be caused by:

1. Loose power cable.

2. Faulty Power supply.

3. Faulty amp.

4. Plug disconnected or turned off at the switch.

Do you know if the board is attached to one of our stands? is it adjustable or fixed? If it is then there is a power distribution block behind the board which sends power to the board, projector and when an adjustable stand, the motor. Please check all of these connections and ensure none are loose.
