Does anyone have an old fan?

Or does anyone know where I can get one? Can't seem to find any...! I just need one to replace one which has failed.

Are you sure it's not just a standard 80mm fan and the ruler you used to measure it is off?

Yes the measurements could be off I guess but I don't think they are.

Can't see you having much luck... It's part of an old whole BTX cpu cooler isn't it? Knowing Intel it may even have been a custom job, bit like old DELL stuff, I think they like knowing you can't just buy a generic no-name replacement for their parts...

 

C91997-001 Intel BTX Type I Cooler Aluminum heat sink, Copper core 3.5-inch fan DC12V, 088A Supports Pentium 4 Socket 775 processors.

 

Seems too old and rare, be hard to find a decent working one.

 

There's a few on ebay, mostly American though. Not time to retire the beast it comes from? Or get a whole new CPU cooler?

A quick search has found this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cablematic-BTX2-Evercool-CPU-Intel/dp/B007I0D7FU as a replacement for the whole unit not just the fan (assuming is is actually a BTX cooler you are after). The fan is listed as being larger (92mm) so will depend on you case clearance.
