Harry1980 Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Hi, I have a old promethean board with the serial connection to the computer. The board is constantly flashing red top left corner of the board. When I unplug the board from either back of the board or PC it make a noise. I have tried uninstall and reinstall active inspire but no luck. I have also tried 2 other PC and the same issue. Any idea how I can resolve this issue? Or is the board too old and needs replacing.
phillyrovers Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Hi Harry1980, In order that I can assist further, do you happen to have the serial number and or the part code of the board? or better yet a photograph of the board. This will allow me to determine if the board is what we call AC1 or AC2 (1st generation and 2nd generation) because the flashing red on these 2 types of board mean opposite things. Thank you
Grey-gear Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Have you tried using a different serial wire? Does the verison of active inspire support the model of board? (maybe newer versions may not support older boards) I know that not much help sorry.
Harry1980 Posted April 9, 2014 Author Posted April 9, 2014 Thank you for the help. Grey-gear - The board did work with Active Inspire. Its been a few weeks that its not been working. Next time I'm back at the school is after Easter break, I will take a picture and post it here. Thanks for the help much appreciated.
