Hi,

I have a old promethean board with the serial connection to the computer. The board is constantly flashing red top left corner of the board. When I unplug the board from either back of the board or PC it make a noise. I have tried uninstall and reinstall active inspire but no luck. I have also tried 2 other PC and the same issue. Any idea how I can resolve this issue? Or is the board too old and needs replacing.

Hi Harry1980,

In order that I can assist further, do you happen to have the serial number and or the part code of the board? or better yet a photograph of the board.

This will allow me to determine if the board is what we call AC1 or AC2 (1st generation and 2nd generation) because the flashing red on these 2 types of board mean opposite things.

Thank you

Have you tried using a different serial wire?

Does the verison of active inspire support the model of board? (maybe newer versions may not support older boards)

I know that not much help sorry.
