ICT Technician

Grade 7 (£17,745 - £19,317 pro rata) Permanent Post

30 hours per week during term time, plus 15 days during the school holidays (by arrangement with the Network Manager)

 To assist and liaise with the Network Manager under the direction of the ICT Coordinator.

 To actively support the ICT vision and strategy of the school.

 To work closely with teaching and support staff to specify user requirements.

 To assist with monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the existing

system.

 To help realise the full benefits of ICT systems to the school.

 To help maintain and repair the ICT hardware of the school information system,

liaising with off-site technical support where necessary.

 To offer technical support to assist staff in order to provide appropriate

software and software systems which deliver learning.

 To promote the use and understanding of ICT within the school with staff,

children and parents.

 To support and train staff in the use of ICT to assist teaching and learning.

 To help maintain the server and ICT system in good order.

 To provide technical back up to run the system efficiently.

 To support pupils in accessing information for their learning needs within the

classroom settings.

 To support the school community with access to school systems through logins

and passwords.

 To work with initiative and flexibility. Occasionally evening events will need to be

supported.
