Anyone use Gridstore for offsite backups?

As an LGFL school we are offered 100GB of storage on Gridstore as part of our subscription to LGFL.

 

Does anyone use Gridstore for offsite backups? If so what data do you backup to it and how many GB do you utilise?

Hi fiza,

 

We started using it at the beginning of the year as our old Acronis stuff became a little long in the tooth. We use it to back up SIMS and the staff/students network shares, various accounting wizardry that the bursars do... its a requirement for them to back this up off site, so figured we might as well use what is given to us. We have purchased an extra 100GB though as we did start to consume the space once the students work was backed up!

Yes we use it and have had no issues after the initial setup.

 

However we will be moving away from it once the contract is up as there are cheaper alternatives.

Are you able to tell me who? I thought we got a great deal, at the time I couldn't find cheaper with the 100gb free included? It is a little "clunky" for what we want really so wouldn't mind having a look at another product or two!
