Dos_Box Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I'm waiting on the latest MediaTek chipset to hit phones later this summer: Why MediaTek's MT6595 processor will result in a sub £200 iPhone rival - PC Advisor Could be a game changer for high spec/low cost handsets.
mole Posted March 28, 2014 Author Posted March 28, 2014 well took the plunge and bought one, will see how it fairs. i see there's already some octocores availalbe - not sure if wcdma though.
mole Posted April 1, 2014 Author Posted April 1, 2014 Well got it through yesterday and it's all good. 3G is H+ and wifi working, got play store installed and everything's good. Not bad for £119 all in. Scores 16758 on antutu x which is about the same overall score as a nexus 4 or just under an S3.
Dos_Box Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 How's the GPS? And can you post Pics? *Big Chinese phone fan me and have brought two so far, however with the new Mediatak 4G SOC that is due in a few months we should be getting very nice affordable smartphones in the UK too. That and better quality control. I've not had a duff one yet, but quite a few have.
mole Posted April 1, 2014 Author Posted April 1, 2014 So here are some photos n video. http://youtu.be/7h1b6nSNe8o
mole Posted April 1, 2014 Author Posted April 1, 2014 Upon using for a bit and why I've bought a case for it is that the camera protrudes and would get stratched eventually. And the back is a bit plasticy, and cheap a bit like a dell inspirion laptop! But the price reflects this and is no different to many other phones. Still cant decide if it has corning gorilla glass, seems to be plastic if i tap it but have no comparision really to be sure.
