Bill_Tech_Leigh Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 We have had a problem arise where a teacher at our school cannot access a student's home folder. He can access every other student's folder but not this one particular student's. The message reads: The student can access the folder. This is happening on the terminal servers we have in the school's farm. However, if the same teacher tries to access the home folder on a fat client, he can get into the folder. I have checked the security settings and compared them to another student's that can be accessed and i have deleted the teacher's RDS profile data and the student's. Thanks in advance for any help, Leigh
kevin_lane Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Lol thata strange I take it you have checked share level permission what about if you explicitly put the teachers account on the folder and give them full access also use the permission audit tab which will also give you an indication of what permission will be applied to the folder when you add them
Bill_Tech_Leigh Posted April 9, 2014 Author Posted April 9, 2014 Weve checked everything and still no joy!
BITS_Mark Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I tend to always try adding the "Everyone" permission for a moment when facing a strange permissions issue. Although, this is strange that he file can be accessed from a FAT client.. Do any other teachers have trouble accessing the same folder?
