Ruckus Yearly Support

Just had a renewal for our Ruckus wifi (10 AP's) and its now £225 last year it was only £75! Is this right, I'm told they have changed their support model but at that they may have just lost bussiness as we are a Primary school and the budget only goes so far! Got a similar quote for my other school, both have trippled since last year.

When your AP's need replacing, look at Unifi, no annual support charges!

Beware, Unifi doesn't have an actual controller which does things like change power levels and channels on the fly.

 

You are correct though OP, the prices have shot up. Considering the price of the controller itself, the pricing is a little high. If they'd doubled it, it would be more reasonable!

Consider buying more than one year as you'll get better pricing for 3 or 5 year.

Just requested a re quote for those terms, yes a certain increase is acceptable but tripple! Thats just taking the watery stuff!

hello, the pricing you have been quoted looks about right. Ruckus did change their support packages, although i can't remember when these came into effect. If you visit the Ruckus support page you will be able to download the PDF datasheets for the type of support you're considering purchasing, either Partner or End-User.

 

If you purchase 3 or 5 years support the price will come down a cost per year basis.

Thanks, have had quotes for 3 and 5 years and it does drop the cost to a reasonable yearly cost but still got to cough up the lump sum first.
