Pen Modifer

A member of staff has a question re Pen Modifier in Activinspire could the tool bar not disappear when he changes from pen to eraser mode. Is it possible to pin the tool bar to make it permanently available for 1 member of staff.

There is no way that the Pen Modifier toolbar can be pinned permanently. The pen modifier is directly related to the Pen tool, and as such cannot be used when you are not using the Pen tool, so it vanishes until you need to use it again.

If you contact Promethean Support they will be able to have this raised as an official enhancement request for consideration for future releases.

I have found a way of doing this, though would appreciate if you could still raise an enhancement request through our support team.

For the user that wants the pen modifier bar to stay pinned:

Open ActivInspire.

Head to File> Settings> Dual Mode ActivBoards.

Please set the following settings:

Touch input handling: Touch and ActivPen

Touch interoperability: Default

Default tool for touch: Pen

Default object interaction mode: ActivPen

 

Then restart Inspire.

The Pen modifier toolbox then stays.
