Microsoft Office 2013 what to buy??

Hi all,

 

I need to buy office for 4 teacher laptops that must have all the core office programs including outlook however im all confused about which 'office' i should be buying!!! They must have the normal office applications on the desktop but im getting confused as I get the impression that office 365 is only via a web browser or does this include the applications on the desktop.

 

Sorry if i make no sense im all confused!!

Here is some info on Office 365: Compare Office 365 Education plans - Office.com

As you can see the A3 and A4 plans come with desktop versions.

 

Though for 4 teacher laptops I would buy the traditional desktop version of Office.

How do you currently get your email today? Is it via Office365 or via an Exchange server at the school or LEA?

 

As posted by sparkeh, if you have Office 365 today, you need at least A3 to have the desktop application with it.
