All-in-One computers

Hi,

It's that time of year again we we are looking at replacing about 100 computers.

the last lot we bought/leased were lenovo m90z all in ones. They have served us well but they are no longer in production.

They are i5 with 4 GB of RAM.

I'm trying to find them for about £500 per machine max.

Does anybody else buy all-in-ones?

We've got a non-touch version and it's awesome.

 

[Make sure you get the BIOS update from the tech team if you plan to boot with HDMI connected.]

We got some viglen integra's recently. Not quite all in one - the computer is in the stand. But, all the components are standard and you can re-use the screen when you come to replace the PC.

We've got a bucket load of Viglen Integra AIOs here, as said by Chris they are built on standard parts and the case has a height and tilting VESA mount on it so you can easily change the monitor.

 

The one downside we've found is there isn't that much space inside the side panel to for your cables but otherwise they are nice PCs.

Worth noting the Glide's are built on the ECS mini-ITX chassis (they're pretty much off the shelf ECS products) therefore they're also surprisingly upgradeable. Plus you get a wonderfully useful USB3 HDD caddy with every machine

We are looking at AIOs had quite a few out on Demo. Very PC Glide, Stone All In One, Lenovo and another VeryPC AIO which is the same chassis as the stone. Expecting a ZooStorm one mid march too.

 

In my testing all have had i3 4gb and some had ssd.

 

Had loads of problems with the Stone AIO (faulty, network card, firmware flashing, new motherboard etc, good support very prompt but not ideal experience.)

 

So far the veryPC mitac chassis is my fav and with a 120gb ssd it is actually very impressive speed wise, off to logged on in 44s.

 

Things to note would be if considering these as teacher computers is the lack of VGA or dvi so an adapter is needed for HDMI unless you have hdmi runs to your projectors which we don't. I've bought a couple of cheap adaptors on Amazon £6 which work OK through a powered vga splitter but not without.

 

The Stone AIO has dvi out but we had so much trouble with that unit on demo we won't be considering it.

 

Very, Stone and Zoostorm offering 5year warranty too which is pretty awesome.

We put i5 and 120ssd in the VeryPC AIO and they fly!
