rhyds Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 A strange thing has happened in SIMS.net here, we have a Welsh teacher with the initals/staff code EWJ. The issue is her timetable has been allocated to a former teacher who's code was also EWJ. The teacher that's left is in the leavers, but the incorrectly allocated timetable shows up. I've asked my LEA support for assistance, but they're swamped with PLASC returns all week.
MkII Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Can you see two teachers with the code Rhyd? That's what usually happens with us - you just select the other one.
tobyhacker Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 We have had similar problems here... we just changed the proper teachers staff code in Personnel and also in Nova-T6 to something not used before and all seems ok now.
rhyds Posted October 16, 2007 Author Posted October 16, 2007 The problem is that it is our deputy head who does the timetabling, and he chose today to head off somewhere, I've changed the leaver's code so now it should be a case of re-setting the rest with T6.
jcollings Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 The code has to be changed in 3 places 1. Nova - if you're using it 2. Personnel bit of sims 3. Focus, Personnel, Manage Classroom staff Oddly a person can have a different staff code in personnel and classroom staff!
rhyds Posted October 16, 2007 Author Posted October 16, 2007 2 and 3 checked, nova is the issue, i'll get the DH to look tomorrow
MkII Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 If your DH has given the same code to someone in Nova then they'll have to change it back - Nova won't do it (is what I was told a couple of months ago from our joint LEA sims dude Rhyd)
rhyds Posted October 17, 2007 Author Posted October 17, 2007 I don't think we have codes clashing in nova, as everything was working swimmingly untill yesterday morning. The "wrong" EWJ has left so wasn't a part of the timetable at all.
