IE7 "Advanced" settings tab in GPO

Is there a way of setting options in the "advanced" tab of IE7's internet options using GPO? I specifically need to be able to select "Use SSL 2.0" for a set of users. One is stumped here.

Your probably after the ADM templates which you can grab from here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=11ab3e81-6462-4fda-8ee5-fcb8264c44b1&DisplayLang=en once you have those installed you should be able to add them for use in each policy by right clicking on Administrative Templates in the group policy editor (not sure how under GPMC)and clicking the add/load/open link then select the IE7 adm file it should be in the default directory for ADM files which will be where the load box is pointing to to start with (the INF folder).

 

If this does not have the settings that you are after you could make a custom ADM template. Just unset the setting that you want then run regmon ( http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/SystemInformation/Regmon.mspx ) (free from sysinternals/microsoft) while you tick that setting again and hit OK. That will tell you where the setting is in the registry then you can make a custom adm template like this http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windowsserver2003/technologies/management/gp/admtgp.mspx#ESNAC
