unixman_again Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 With web development now, you have to basically develop everything twice - once for standards compliant browsers and once for IE (or even more times for IE, depending on whether you want to support older versions or not!).No you don't, you simply put a disclaimer on your website "Best viewed in anything expect IE".

And it tries to save ALL the things to their profiles... which has cause a few issues. But, I think I've managed to limit it. I'm using the ADMX templates from Google to configure it.

Ability to add a few really useful toolbars like Ask, Yahoo! and eBay. Constantly pops up and reminds me of security settings when I visit dangerous sites like Youtube or the BBC. Compatibility mode for website that aren't written properly. Stops me downloading really dangerous files like drivers from HP's website when certificates are not properly signed. I've no idea what you are all complaining about... 1

I've no idea what you are all complaining about... Have to admit, I found latest versions of IE, Firefox and Chrome to be really close in terms of which is a good browser. I ditched IE though because the other two browsers have far better ad-blocking features but IE kept letting them through. Now I am using Firefox with Ad Block Edge at home (and I can add Chatzilla too for IRC).
Earthling Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Have to admit, I'm finally biting the bullet and installing Chrome on our Admin base image. Too many web-site failures with IE9 lately, that don't occur with Chrome. We've adopted the Awful App Inventor here too, which seems to prefer Chrome, so I'll eventually add it to our Curriculum image.
