Sheridan Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Anyone know where I can get hold of some batteries for the Asus EEEPC 1008HA range? We have quite a few of these and they're nice little devices. Problem is the battery is internal and ours are 4-5 years old and quite a few need new batteries. They're a bit of a faff to change but I can't even find a supplier of them now! It would be a shame to ditch them because of this, but because of the current tablet obsession its like netbooks never existed!

Sheridan Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 I'd love to replace them but no one makes netbooks anymore and tablets that can run the required windows applications are a lot more expensive than these 200 quid beauties! Got about 180 of them in total which is an expensive refresh

Sheridan Posted March 26, 2014 Author Posted March 26, 2014 Yup - been through all of this - that cbattery company can't get them despite advertising them, the ap31-1008P does not fit no matter what they say - believe me, I've tried! The Ap31-1008ha battery isn't a user friendly battery pack like the newer ones, its a wrapped battery with a wired connector. Easy enough to replace if you've every taken a laptop apart but not like a 'normal' laptop or the later netbooks. Every company I've spoken to has tried to get the ap31-1008p models, but they are a different type - similar but the connectors and shape don't match!
