Anyone got an Epson Interactive Projector?

Looking to replace a projector and have seen the Epson EB-1410WI interactive projectors that use pens and a normal dry wipe board to project on to but the projector picks up the position of he pens. Anyone had one installed yet, if so what are they like to use etc.

I haven't got that model installed....but I've got 9 of one model and 15 of another.

 

Not had any complaints from the staff that I can think of.

 

Pens are a bit on the chunky side.

 

I've had a handful have the interactivity fail on them but they we're replaced under warranty. Still not sure why it happens.

We have 15 480i projectors. I've had an issue with one which was promptly handled by Epson. Yes, the pens are chunky, but our teachers love them, and they are extremely good devices for the cost.

We have a number of Epson ones that have worked ok. The only complaint I have had is that the bundled interactive software isn't brilliant. I did find I had insufficient ceiling height above boards when installing requiring a recess to be made in suspended ceiling in some rooms. An alternative I have used is Hitachi interactive projectors bundled with Starboard software which is better. These didn't seem to need mounting quite so high for same image size.

The software isn't that good, but SmartBoard and Promethean software suites will both work if you'd like.

I have just installed a Epson Eb-485wi, it was easy to install, (I have installed a number of Wb-485w projectors any way) the member of staff seems to like it. I did see that Epson are bringing out a new interactive touch projector (so no pens needed) in April. It looked good at Bett when I saw it.
