Mr_Jiminy Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Who do you all purchase servers through? We have been dealing direct through Dell, however of late have become increasingly slow to respond to quote requests. Keen to find out how peeps purchase such hardware? I'm just looking for a quick turn around on quotes and decent service.
featured_spectre Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 @CPLTD and @VeryPC have been amazingly quick for quote turnaround for custom specced devices. They're worth a try 2
newpersn Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Stone. We ordered a server from these. Cheep er than Dell and hp. (2x quad core xeons, 16gb ram, 2x300gb sas and 6x 1tb) Although it's all Intel hardware but not had a problem with it.

And even ordered same day. (When did edit become quote. ...)
ICTDirect_Dave Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 (edited) You can always come to us Our refurb servers might not be quite the latest spec, but you get far more for your money as we're really cheap. Not to mention we give you a 2 year warranty as standard with options to extend it. Edit: I can't spell Quite!!! Edited February 12, 2014 by ICTDirect_Dave
Oaktech Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 We deal HP through either BlueChip or CCC Schoolcare.
Neil-Millgate Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Dont forget Millgate. We do do servers, HP, IBM, Dell and some others. Quick turnaround, great pricing and service that legends are made of.
localzuk Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 We deal with: Millgate, IDN Supplies, Insight, HP Direct Sales, etc... We've generally ended up buying HP servers, but we might be changing that in future due to HP's firmware policy change. Most likely will look at either Lenovo or custom build by someone like VeryPC or Viglen.
