Very happy to be proven wrong as things change all the time; HOWEVER, even if there is a way I would strongly recommend against doing it. My reasons are thus: - It is confusing to users. - Users will not get a seamless experience, and managing identity will be a tricky task since MSA (WLID) and O365 accounts are separate. - OneDrive (aka SkyDrive) is not manageable by administrators, nor does it respect any of the policies set in Office 365. - You introduce a blocker if you later want to move to OneDrive for business (aka SkyDrive Pro) and SharePoint Online as there's no simple migration path between the two. The list could get quite lengthy.

I can only find Powershell stuff which we used when it was Live@Edu and not Office 365 (which we have now migrated over to) and I think I made the modifications back in our Live@Edu days. gshaw Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I wouldn't say it's a horrible interface but it could be a lot better in places. The front screen particularly seems a wasted opportunity as I don't always want to go into Outlook (SkyDrive \ Sharepoint) yet I have to use a rather small strip at the top of the screen to navigate, not great on touch devices. The welcome screen that comes up the first couple of times you log in would make a nice tile-esque interface imo. It could show me my most recent emails, upcoming calendar appointments, recently opened documents and followed Sharepoint sites that I can hit as easily as Windows 8 tiles. Also provide an option that lets the user change the behaviour to either use the welcome screen or auto bounce off to either Outlook, SkyDrive or SharePoint and it becomes so much more user friendly

sonofsanta Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 On a similar note, can you at least set the default page for tenancy-my.sharepoint.com to be the SkyDrive rather than Newsfeed? I've locked down most of the Newsfeed stuff as I don't want timewasting with all the social guff. If I can just set up a shortcut to a particular URL to achieve it, that's fine, but I'm not sure if that would work due to the URL changing depending on the user.

That only seems to work for individual sites, though - is there a way of forcing everyone's personal site into using the new Master theme?

sonofsanta Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Just to answer my own question, using a more straightforward method than all the coding above (thanks anyway @apearce): Use Sharepoint Designer 2013 to connect to the mysites URL, as detailed in @lmgtfy's post here. Instead of copying the contents of Person.aspx into Default.aspx, though, copy the following code in: Alter [tenancy] as relevant, or - easier - log in to Office 365 as any user and copy the URL from the SkyDrive shortcut up the top. That then automatically bounces anyone going to the Newsfeed page over the the SkyDrive Pro page - which means that as soon as a user logs in, they are shown their SkyDrive Pro page. Result
