Jawloms Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Hi all, Does anyone know how you change the "Program Management" settings in Clicker 5? I want all the file locations to point to a network share, rather than the All Users on the C Drive. Thank you Stuart
the_wuigi Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Have a wee look on here, you might find some info http://www.cricksoft.com/support/clicker5.aspx 1
Jawloms Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 Thank you for this, but I couldn't find anything on there about changing the file locations. It looks to me as though it's been installed on every computer on the network as a standalone install, rather than being installed as a network install. Anyway of changing anything? Registry? Thank you Stuart
aburt Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 You can change this in the Windows registry, see: HKLM\Software\Crick\Clicker5 (or within HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Crick\Clicker5 on 64-bit machines) but there are quite a number of entries to change, all of which need to be done accurately or some features such as the onscreen keyboard or word banks won't function correctly. It may be simpler to reinstall Clicker 5 on your network using the Network Installer. Andrew Burt Crick Software 1
cooka Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Like aburt said - look in the registry or reinstall 1
Singist Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I'm not in front of a PC with Clicker 5 on it and it isn't something I've looked for before but is there no configuration file with a savepath= option in the folder for that program in Program Files? 1
sted Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 im 90% sure its just registry related as above you can make a new msi/mst (probably not a bad idea anyway for new deploys) or fire out a reg key (script or gpp) 1
