Smartboard pen lag

We've recently started experiencing a lag when writing on the smartboards. You can write a sentence before the ink starts to appear.

 

The hardware is a core2-duo PC with a SB680 board.

 

Has anyone else experiened this issue, and if so have you found a resolution to it?

We are also experiencing this lag. I have tried going into the control panel with Smart.

and I unchecked the Ink smoothing.

 

Restart smart, it didn't change. I am going to retry restarting the computer to see if that helps it now.

Open for anymore suggestions on this problem.

Have you aligned the board recently? I noticed a lag when the alignment was off.

We only get a lag when starting to write using Smart Ink on the desktop. It takes a couple of seconds for the Smart Ink window to appear. Writing into Smart Notebook itself is fine, although there are other issues I'm going to post in a different thread.

Yes I can second that. When you first pick up the pen and start writing there is a slight delay as it starts up the service or something, but then after that it's fine. People tend to not realise it's just the initialisation.
