synaesthesia Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Massive shame, the guy had a massively infectious smile and was clearly a huge influence on Jenson - there for so many (if not all, I'm not sure) races, such a great example of a doting father. He'll be missed, the messages of condolence on Twitter from just about everyone in motorsport is testament to him.
XiJ Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Jenson a couple of years younger than me a same age as my bro. We lost our dad late last year and he was john buttons age. Feel so sad for JB. John Button seemed a real good laugh and nice fella. So many messages from the drivers and Motorsport community saying what a great guy he was.
john Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Very sad news indeed at his passing a really supportive father and clearly a good spirited guy when you see him around the races unlike some other racers family members....
laserblazer Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 You could almost believe he picked his time to go so that it didn't disrupt Jensen's racing. He came across as that sort of dad. Great shame.
