Jackd Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Does anyone have a CPU fan that there willing to send me, i was screwing in a drive then dropped the screwdriver into the fan shattering half the blades of it. Jack
kestrel1 Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 What size do you need? What CPU is it for? Strange that it would break half the blades, It wasn't still spinning surely?
Jackd Posted October 4, 2007 Author Posted October 4, 2007 Yes it was spinning, i didnt see the point in shutting it down just to screw it in but i should of really The CPU is a AMD K6-2 and the clock speed is 266 mHz i dont know the size how do i find it? EDIT: the fan is 50x50mm
Jackd Posted October 4, 2007 Author Posted October 4, 2007 Better send for an archeologist lol No i havent tried ebay yet but if i dont get anyone on here whos got one i'll try their. Jack
kestrel1 Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I will have to have a look at what I have about tomorrow. I have got some kicking about somewhere, that may fit the bill. If you measure across the width of the fan, that would give us an idea of size.
Geoff Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 http://www.maplin.co.uk/searchtemplate.asp?criteria=50MM%20FAN ?
kestrel1 Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 I presume it has screw holes in each corner where it is screwed onto the heat sink? I have got one that is 50mm square & 15mm deep & has the normal 3 pin mini plug on the end. Made by CoolMaster.
laserblazer Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 I've got some. If you measure between diagonal mounting holes mine are around 57mm.
