So what about all the other folks that were treated the same as Turing? Or do you have to have done something amazing for your country before a conviction for a crime that should never have been a crime is overturned? Or do they now think he wasn't homosexual and didn't commit the acts he was convicted of committing which were against the law in those less enlightened times?

 

A posthumous knighthood or top level medal would have been a far more fitting gesture IMHO.
